01Challenge

Many processes require objects or materials to be transferred and placed reliably — between stations, onto a surface or into a container. Doing this accurately with compact, cost-aware mechanisms is the central engineering question.

02Approach

  1. 01Analyse transfer tasks: paths, payloads, positioning tolerances and cycle constraints.
  2. 02Compare kinematic architectures — linear axes, articulated arms and hybrid mechanisms.
  3. 03Develop conceptual CAD models and motion paths to assess reach and clearances.
  4. 04Identify sensing and control requirements for reliable placement.

03Verified outcomes

No verified outcomes have been published for this project yet. Results will be added here once they have been tested and approved for publication.
